Raihan Mubariz, a makeup artist, stated her dissatisfaction with the restriction and claimed that men are left without employment while women are compelled to work in beauty parlors to make ends meet. Girls and women are not permitted to enter parks, theatres, universities, NGOs, or other public spaces because of Taliban restrictions.

The restrictions include preventing girls from attending classes past the sixth grade, limiting their work options, and forbidding them from going to the gym.

Women are also not allowed to hold positions of authority, work, or travel alone. International and national reactions to the Taliban’s restrictions have prompted calls for a framework that would not harm Islam or the nation.
