Deakin University, one of the best universities in the world, is about to become the first international university in history to open a campus in India with the opening of admission applications for two courses.
Masters of Business Analytics and Masters of Cyber Security (Professional) are the two courses available to students. At the GIFT IFSC (International Financial Services Center), the university also unveiled the new campus identity and disclosed the cost of the courses it offers in India.
The new era of global education
In January 2024, the Australian university Deakin University is scheduled to open its campus in India. The university will start with 100–150 students enrolled in two courses. The annual course fees will be approximately Rs 10 lakh, which is about half the price of an equivalent course in Australia.
By exposing students to fresh ideas and viewpoints, the university hopes to achieve the National Education Policy, 2020 (NEP 2020) goal of internationalizing education at home.
The university is nearing completion of its campus building, which is scheduled to open in January 2024 in conjunction with the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit. Deakin will have been in India for thirty years in 2024. The deadline for submitting an admissions application is March 31.
The University of Wollongong has also revealed its campus identity. It ranks among the top 200 universities worldwide. It has leased two stories of a twenty-story building, with the option to renew.
The University of Wollongong’s Vice Chancellor, Patricia M. Davidson, anticipates about 150 students in the first year and hopes to increase that number to 1100 in the upcoming years.
