According to the head of the city’s military administration, Russian forces also shelled Kherson in the south, injuring two passengers on a trolleybus and killing one police officer.
According to Ukraine’s air force, 30 drones and an Iskander ballistic missile were launched by Russia in strikes on Ukraine overnight, and 27 of the drones were shot down.
Although the UN reported 7,283 civilian fatalities and 13,725 civilian injuries in the area under the control of the Ukrainian government as of July 2023, Moscow has denied purposefully targeting people or civilian property.
