On Friday, at approximately 4 p.m. local time, 13 hostages—among them, children and their mothers—are scheduled to be released. Majed Al-Ansari, a spokesman for Qatar’s foreign ministry, says more aid for Palestinians will reach Gaza “as soon as possible” and anticipates no more delays in the release of prisoners.

Overnight, an attack by Israeli forces in Gaza destroyed the first floor of the Indonesian Hospital. Concerns about the truce between Israel and Hamas arriving too late have been voiced by Palestinian families.
It is planned that at least fifty Palestinian inmates detained in Israeli jails will be freed over the course of four days starting on Friday. They will be met by Israeli trauma specialists and medics, as well as specially trained soldiers who carry a child’s favorite food item and swear to keep them safe.
The fighting between Israel and Hamas, which started on October 7, has come to an end thanks to a 96-hour ceasefire mediated by Qatar. Operation Iron Swords, which the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) initiated in Gaza, resulted in civilian casualties and worldwide demonstrations calling for an end to hostilities.
The conflict has not stopped since the Islamist group launched attacks inside Israeli territory on October 7. This cease-fire represents the first such interval. For the next ninety-six hours, the cease-fire will stay in effect.
All hostilities will be paused, the group confirmed, but a spokesman later claimed that the pause was only temporary. Amar Abu Jalalah, a senior operative in the Hamas naval forces, and an unidentified additional operative were killed, according to an IDF announcement.
