Saudi Arabia’s First Female Astronaut to the Space this Year

Saudi Arabia will send its very first lady space traveler on a space mission in the not-so-distant future.

Rayyana Barnawi will join Ali Al-Qarni on a 10-day mission to the Worldwide Space Station (ISS), the authority Saudi Press Organization (SPA) said adding that they will travel to the ISS on board a SpaceX Mythical beast rocket as a feature of a mission by the confidential space organization Saying Space.

Alongside them will be Peggy Whitson, a previous NASA space explorer who will make her fourth trip to the ISS, and John Shoffner, a money manager from Tennessee who will act as pilot, the organization informed.
