On the Twitter platform, Jack Dorsey is leaking tea everywhere

  • Jack Dorsey has been active in the X-ing controversy, participating in a contentious dispute between Drake and Kendrick Lamar.
  • The business announced Dorsey’s exit and thanked him for starting and sponsoring the Bluesky initiative.
  • Twitter contributed $13 million to the company’s finances, and Dorsey served on the board of directors.

An employee of Twitter named Jack Dorsey has been active in the X-ing controversy, participating in a contentious dispute between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, supporting X as “freedom technology,” and unfollowing more than 2000 accounts.

Nonetheless, Dorsey’s remarks regarding Lamar and Drake’s back-and-forth were more extensive than his statement that he was leaving Bluesky, the Twitter offshoot he helped build. In response to a question about whether or not X was still on the Bluesky board, Dorsey said, “No.” Later, the business announced Dorsey’s exit and thanked him for starting and sponsoring the Bluesky initiative.

Currently available as an open-source social network, Bluesky is powered by the company’s decentralized protocol, atproto. A new board member who is dedicated to creating a social network that gives users control over their experience is what the company is now looking for. TechCrunch said that last September, Dorsey removed his account from the social network he supported.

While still employed at Twitter, Dorsey launched the Bluesky venture, which separated from the social network in 2022. Twitter contributed $13 million to the company’s finances, and Dorsey served on the board of directors.

It was established as a Public Benefit LLC, which meant that creating its decentralized protocol was more important to it than turning a profit. Additionally, in December 2022, Dorsey gave $245,000, or 14 bitcoins to the startup Nostr, which is an open app protocol.

Bluesky, a social network with three million members, has evolved from an invite-only software. Dorsey promoted the “decentralized” alternative social network, X when Elon Musk took over Twitter and transformed it into a platform.
