Huawei and China Unicom have rolled out China’s first 10G broadband network in Xiong’an, Hebei Province. The network is powered by the innovative 50G PON solution, increasing user bandwidth to the 10G level.

This major upgrade in fiber-optic access architecture also reduces network latency to just three milliseconds. This makes it ideal for high-demand applications such as virtual reality, 8K streaming, and cloud services.

China Leads the Way with 10G Broadband in Xiong’an

Huawei and China Unicom have announced a significant milestone in the advancement of telecommunications. They have launched China’s first 10G broadband network in the Xiong’an New Area of Hebei Province. This launch is based on the world‘s first 50G PON solution, which is designed to enhance user experience by boosting speeds and reducing latency.

The network offers impressive speeds of up to 9,834 Mbps for downloads and 1,008 Mbps for uploads. This surpasses conventional home broadband standards. This massive increase in speed is a game-changer, enabling users to access data-heavy applications and high-definition content with ease.
