Dr. Alex Otti, the incoming governor of Abia State, yesterday unveiled a roster of experts and technocrats from the fields of business, economics, entrepreneurship, and politics who would serve on his transition council before his formal inauguration on May 29.
In a statement released by the Transition Council (TC) Secretariat, the council said the council “has outlined the path and development agenda for Abia according to the governor-elect’s vision.”
Transition Council Members
Victor Onyenkpa, a partner and KPMG’s COO, and Ifueko Okauru, a former executive chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), will serve as co-chairs of the TC.

The declaration said the newly elected governor would officially establish the council on Friday in Aba.
The choice of Aba, the commercial hub of Abia State, for the council’s inaugural meeting, was considered crucial since Enyimba City (Aba) would serve as the focal point of the new Otti government‘s economic and infrastructure development strategy.
Recall that Otti had pledged to establish a ministry in Aba to oversee the city’s physical and urban rehabilitation and restore its position as the region’s principal commercial and industrial center during his cam center.
