Alcohol consumption, even in moderate amounts, can significantly raise CRC risk. The study found that every additional 20 grams of alcohol consumed daily escalates the risk by 15%. This statistic emphasizes the importance of minimizing alcohol intake as part of a cancer-preventive strategy.

Conversely, calcium plays a vital role in mitigating CRC risk. Acting as a binding agent for harmful bile acids, calcium reduces the likelihood of carcinogenic exposure in the colon. Regular intake of calcium-rich foods, such as dairy products, can therefore be an effective preventive measure.

Moreover, milk, as a key dietary source of calcium, offers substantial protection. The study revealed that 200 grams of daily milk consumption could lower CRC risk by 40%, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a balanced and nutrient-rich diet.


Adopting a diet high in calcium and milk while minimizing alcohol and processed meat intake can significantly reduce the risk of colorectal cancer, promoting better long-term health.
