PM Modi Celebrates 10 Years of Swachh Bharat with New Initiatives

Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked the 10th anniversary of the Swachh Bharat Mission, hailing it as the “world’s largest and most successful movement of this century.”

He highlighted the immense public involvement in the mission, which has now become a fundamental part of the nation’s culture.

Swachh Bharat Anniversary: New Milestones, Investment in Infrastructure

Elsewhere, in a major crackdown, Delhi Police uncovered an international drug syndicate, seizing over 560 kg of cocaine valued at ₹2,000 crore. This operation, spearheaded by the Special Cell, led to the arrest of four individuals involved in smuggling and distribution across multiple regions. Authorities are also investigating a potential narco-terror angle, a growing concern in India’s anti-drug enforcement efforts.

In Jharkhand, Modi inaugurated development projects worth ₹83,300 crore, aimed at tribal welfare and education enhancement. These projects include the creation of 25 new Eklavya schools and initiatives under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, focusing on rural upliftment and tribal justice. These initiatives aim to bridge educational gaps and support sustainable development for marginalized communities.

Meanwhile, in West Bengal, the Indian Railways revealed a massive ₹60,000 crore investment opportunity. With over 60 projects pending due to political and land acquisition challenges, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw urged the state government to resolve the disputes to unlock the full potential of infrastructure development in the region.

The Delhi Police made significant strides in combating international drug syndicates, arresting four people involved in smuggling cocaine valued at ₹2,000 crore. The large-scale drug bust highlights India’s continued efforts to curb the growing threat of narco-terrorism, with authorities further investigating the possible links between drug trafficking and terrorist activities.

India’s advancements across cleanliness, infrastructure, and law enforcement signal a continued commitment to national progress. As Swachh Bharat reaches new heights, these milestones illustrate India’s holistic approach to development and public safety.
