By 2047, 500k foreign students will be enrolled, according to plans announced by BVR Subrahmanyam, CEO of Niti Aayog.

For higher education to stay competitive and relevant, he underlined how important it is to adopt technology. A separate vision for education is being prepared by Niti Aayog for the year 2047.

Global center for education

Subrahmanyam called on the private sector to support domestic students studying in India while simultaneously growing the higher education ecosystem to draw in more foreign students.

To prepare students for the industry, he underlined the need for innovation in the field and a renewed emphasis on the educational system.

Subrahmanyam emphasized the significance of more recent technology in the field of higher education, saying that for colleges to remain competitive and relevant, they must adopt AI.

In addition, he underlined the significance of universities in helping students form sound mental models and the 25-year window that Indian universities have to take advantage of India’s demographic dividend.
