Ahmedabad is the starting point of the Global Fisheries Conference India 2023

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Union Fisheries Minister Parshottam Rupala attended the inaugural Global Fisheries Conference India 2023, which got underway at Science City in Ahmedabad, India.

With plenty of room to grow in North India, Rupala emphasized how the country’s inland fishing industry is expanding under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership.

He conveyed assurance that the conference would tackle obstacles and offer a guide for interested parties to guarantee a viable future for the industry. Gujarat is the state with the longest coastline and produces the most fish, accounting for 17% of the nation’s fish exports.

To realize PM Narendra Modi‘s goal of an independent India during Amrit Kal, the coastal region will be crucial. CM Bhupendra Patel launched the portal for leasing inland reservoirs and presented the World Fisheries Awards.

Gujarat’s official state fish is the dhol fish. Additionally, Rupala opened an exhibition at Science City that featured state-of-the-art technologies for aquaculture and fishing.

Along with foreign missions from France, Norway, Australia, Russia, and other countries, he will take part in international roundtable discussions. At the inaugural session, ministers from several states and union territories were also in attendance.
