Cultural Splendor and Style: Highlights from AMVCA 2025 Cultural Day

The AMVCA 2025 Cultural Day brought together some of Nigeria’s biggest stars to celebrate African traditions through fashion, food, and entertainment. The night was a spectacle of colors and styles. Celebrities donned intricate traditional attire that paid homage to various tribes and regions. Designer Toyin Lawani, known for her bold fashion statements, noted the absence of a specific theme. This allowed guests to creatively interpret the cultural theme.

Bambam’s look stood out as she embraced the essence of Ghanaian culture with a striking outfit. It merged modern elegance with traditional design. Despite not winning Best Dressed Female, she expressed pride in her nomination and hosting debut. She emphasized how the event highlighted Africa’s cultural diversity.

Liquorose, known for her bold style, opted for a pink and green ensemble that was both vibrant and regal. Meanwhile, Mercy Aigbe’s cream gold attire featured a dramatic bow and lace accents. Her outfit made her one of the standout fashion icons of the night.

The culinary aspect was just as impressive, with Onga curating a gastronomic journey that spanned the continent. From Nigerian Jollof Rice to Rwandan Beef Matoke, the diverse array of dishes underscored the unity in Africa’s cultural diversity. Live performances by artists like Segun Johnson further elevated the festive ambiance.

The AMVCA 2025 Cultural Day was more than just a night of glitz and glamour — it was a vibrant celebration of African identity, traditions, and unity.

“A people’s culture is their identity, and the AMVCA Cultural Day perfectly exemplified that unity in diversity.”
