Huawei Bridges Egypt’s Digital Divide with AI Training for University Students
At the Huawei Instructors Forum 2025, the company showcased not only the AI program but also its latest digital education tools aimed at enhancing learning environments. The event served as a platform to strengthen partnerships between academia and industry, with the signing of the MoUs symbolizing a shared commitment to academic innovation and digital growth.
Al-Azhar University, known for its vast student body, will enroll 10,000 students into the AI course, with the same number from the Egyptian-Russian University and 5,000 from 6th of October University. This strategic distribution ensures broad reach and impact, enabling learners from diverse academic backgrounds to gain foundational knowledge in artificial intelligence.
Eng. Asmaa Serag, Director of Huawei Academies Egypt, emphasized the initiative’s long-term vision: to cultivate a tech-savvy generation equipped for a digital-first future. She stated that this step builds upon the foundation laid by the Huawei ICT Academies, already active across Egypt, and will further bridge the gap between theoretical learning and industry-ready skills.
The AI program’s flexibility—being fully online, multilingual, and free—removes common barriers to quality education. Open to anyone, regardless of age or profession, the course democratizes access to high-demand knowledge, reflecting Huawei’s belief that digital opportunity should be inclusive, equitable, and future-focused.
Huawei’s AI education initiative marks a significant step toward democratizing technology in Egypt, opening doors for thousands to participate in the global digital economy.
