The festival, a vital platform for cinematic exchange and showcasing emerging talent, is recognized as a Category A festival by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF).

Founded in 1976, the Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) has grown into one of the most prestigious film events in the Arab world and Africa, celebrated for its dedication to promoting diverse cinematic voices. The 46th edition, scheduled from November 12-21, 2025, continues to serve as a significant platform for filmmakers to present their work to an international audience.
