Both the bus and truck drivers, according to RCMP Supt. Rob Lasson, are conscious and receiving medical care. Older adults made up the majority of the deaths.

There would have been a stop and yield sign when the bus was traveling south. When the truck traveling east impacted the bus, it was crossing the eastbound lanes. The investigation depends on the right of way. People are scrambling to find out if their loved ones were involved as the public is in shock and has many questions.
