Biden and Trump win the primaries in Kentucky and Oregon

  • President Joe Biden and Republican Donald Trump have won more delegates in Kentucky and Oregon.
  • Haley won roughly 6% of the GOP vote in Kentucky, while roughly 18% of the Democratic vote remained undecided.
  • Candidates for the US House and other elections were chosen in state primaries held by voters in Kentucky, Oregon, Georgia, and Idaho.

To provide themselves with additional delegates to the national conventions and to keep the Democratic and Republican bases’ positions in check as the presidential nominating season draws to a close, President Joe Biden and Republican Donald Trump have won more delegates in Kentucky and Oregon.

Trump and Biden have encountered opposition inside their parties despite winning the nominations and their opponents withdrawing.

Protest votes against Trump‘s handling of the Israel-Hamas conflict and thousands of votes cast for Haley, a long-lost competitor, have been reported.Haley won roughly 6% of the GOP vote in Kentucky, while roughly 18% of the Democratic vote remained undecided.

The Democratic candidates in Idaho, the District of Columbia, Guam, the Virgin Islands, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, and South Dakota are among the eight remaining fights for the presidential nomination.

Candidates for the US House and other elections were chosen in state primaries held by voters in Kentucky, Oregon, Georgia, and Idaho. A candidate promising to be tough on crime is challenging a progressive district attorney in Multnomah County, Oregon, while Fani Willis, the district attorney for Fulton County in Georgia, emerged victorious over her opponent Christian Wise Smith in the Democratic primary.
