A 10-year visa for high-level professionals and specialists has been approved by Thailand’s Cabinet to enhance the potential of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) as a regional industrial powerhouse.

The validity of the visa is subject to the length of the employment contract and permits a five-year stay with multiple entries and an option to extend. Four sections serve professionals, executives, experts, and their families.

EEC visa

For individuals who want to live and work in the European Economic Community (EEC), the government has implemented a compelling personal income tax incentive. This incentive is capped at 17%, which is far lower than the top tax rate of 35% in the country. Because it will attract specialists from all over the world, the EEC visa is anticipated to have a major positive impact on the EEC’s development.

The Agriculture and Cooperatives Ministry has been tasked by Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin with creating a comprehensive plan for modernizing Thailand’s agricultural infrastructure to make the nation a major hub for food and agriculture.

Developing Thailand as a center for plant genetics, improving irrigation for farming, encouraging healthy soil and wise fertilizer application, and utilizing satellite technology to combat agricultural burning are all part of the plan. A memorandum of understanding to promote agricultural cooperation between Thailand and Saudi Arabia has also been ratified by the Cabinet.
