Just over 10% of the company’s workforce, or 549 people, were terminated from its Folsom facility in the past. Intel wants to decrease expenses by $10 billion by 2025, maybe by selling off operations, reducing hours, and making layoffs.
Over 13,000 people are currently employed by the corporation throughout California, and research and development are conducted at its Folsom location. Up to 20% of Intel’s workforce may be let go from its data center and client computing units.
