Every year on July 7, there is a wonderful event called World Chocolate Day that brings people together.
It honors the arrival of chocolate in Europe in 1550 when it had only previously been available in South and Central America.
World Chocolate Day
The chocolate-based beverage known as Xocolatl was first brought to Europe by the Spanish adventurer Hernan Cortes in 1519. It was then refined with sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon. As a result, chocolate became increasingly well-liked across Europe and ultimately turned into the cherished dessert we know today.
Because it serves as a reminder of the widespread affection and respect for chocolate, World Chocolate Day has special significance. Crossing cultural barriers, it unites people in a joyful celebration of chocolate.
