US supports Musk’s request for India to be granted a seat on the UNSC

While Republican lawmakers in Arizona have thwarted attempts to remove a nearly two-century-old prohibition on abortion, the US has approved Elon Musk’s proposal for India to have a permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

Climate experts reject the notion that high rainfall in Dubai was caused by cloud seeding, even though the region has been trying to enhance precipitation because of water constraints.

UNSC

Support for reforms to UN agencies, including the UNSC, has been extended by the US State Department. The decision by the Arizona Supreme Court to maintain an almost complete abortion ban has sparked a nationwide discussion and numerous attempts to reverse it.

Given that a storm that brought record-breaking rainfall to the UAE and Oman this week also affected Dubai, climate scientists do not think that cloud seeding is to blame for the city’s massive downpour.

Leading the charge to create clouds and boost precipitation is the United Arab Emirates, one of the warmest and driest places on Earth. With a $22 million gold theft that occurred at Toronto Pearson International Airport last year, six people have been taken into custody.
