In a mock stock market challenge, more than 100 students from eight different local high schools competed.

Mark Mutton, a business instructor at Brockport High School, claimed that reading a book can only teach you so much. Mutton is aware that engaging his students in practical experiences will help them retain their knowledge.
Every “day” in this task was equal to one minute, and students had to purchase, sell, and trade stocks based on news updates from a newsletter.

As her team competed against other teams to win, Jazalynn described the action as demanding but exhilarating.
