When a US Navy plane went off course and crashed into a bay in Hawaii, the Coast Guard was called to the scene but decided not to pursue rescue efforts. Boeing’s P-8A aircraft, which is also shared by the 737 commercial jet, is frequently utilized for reconnaissance and submarine hunting.

On Oahu, the base is roughly 16 kilometers away from Honolulu. The pilot and the other nine passengers all made it out alive. The event bore similarities to commercial pilot Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger’s emergency landing in New York.

Because of the poor visibility, the Coast Guard was dispatched to the scene of the accident; however, no rescue efforts were required, and all nine passengers managed to escape unharmed.
