Additional flight cancellations have been issued by Go First Airlines, which has been grounded since May. The airline has pushed back the deadline for cancellations of flights until August 31, 2023, and has directed consumers to its website for additional details.

The airline is confident that reservations will resume soon despite having requested a rapid settlement and restart of operations.

The airline has previously pushed out the deadline for canceling flights that are planned to operate in June. Due to delays caused by Pratt & Whitney, the airline halted flights in May and filed for voluntary bankruptcy before the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).

Last month, the airline was permitted by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to resume operations, subject to finance and timetable constraints.

In response to a request for processing refunds totaling Rs 597.54 crore from about 15.5 lakh customers who had booked flights with the airline, the NCLT sent letters to Go First’s creditors and the bankruptcy regulator IBBI.

According to the airline’s fiscal year 2021–2022, it generated a total operating income of Rs. 4,183 crore.
