Sherika De Armas, a former Miss World contender, passed away on October 13. Her age was 26. Sherika competed in the 2015 Miss Universe pageant as a representative of Uruguay.

According to the New York Post, Sherika’s brother Mayk’ De Armas verified the information on social media. “Fly high, little sister,” he wrote. Forever and eternally.” The report also stated that Sherika had been fighting cervical cancer for two years.

Former Miss World competitor

The deceased person on October 13 was Sherika De Armas, a former Miss World competitor from Uruguay. In 2015, she competed in the beauty pageant as a representative of Uruguay, aged 26.

She spent two years fighting cervical cancer. Miss Uruguay currently serving, Carla Romero, acknowledged Sherika’s loss and said she was “too evolved for this world.”

Sherika was remembered through the sharing of images and videos by Lola de los Santos, Miss Universe Uruguay 2021.

At the 2015 Miss World pageant in Sanya, China, Sherika received accolades for her stunning features, tall stature, and vivacious demeanor.

For Sherika, the ultimate goal for any girl is to compete in Miss Universe, and she had always wanted to be a model. At that point, Sherika was unable to crack the top 30.

According to estimates, 311,000 women globally lost their lives to cervical cancer in 2018, making it the fourth most frequent malignancy in women.
