External Affairs Minister’s Sudan Discussions with the UN Secretary-General Now

Outer Issues Priest S Jaishankar on Thursday talked about the deteriorating circumstance in Sudan with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and highlighted the requirement for “fruitful discretion” which can prompt an early truce and make the ground circumstance for the well-being and government assistance of individuals.

Jaishankar, who met Guterres at the UN base camp here, likewise talked about different issues, including India‘s administration of the G20 and the Ukraine struggle, with the UN boss.

The outer issues clergyman will visit Guyana from April 21 to 23, Panama from April 24 to 25, Colombia from April 25 to 27 and his last objective would be the Dominican Republic.

Taking note that he had an “excellent gathering” with Guterres, Jaishankar said once the battle in Sudan began, “I felt that it was vital” that he met the UN Secretary-General Guterres.
