Heavy rains in Chennai, south India, have caused several flights to be canceled or rerouted. Due to inclement weather, the airport operator, Chennai’s airport, has closed until 11 p.m.
To accommodate the impacted passengers, Etihad Airways canceled two flights on December 4 between Abu Dhabi and Chennai. On December 5, the airline plans to use a larger aircraft. Passengers scheduled on the canceled flights will receive assistance from airport personnel.
