Wales destroyed Australia to advance to the quarterfinals of the Rugby World Cup

Wales defeated Australia 40-6 in the Rugby World Cup match to advance with one game remaining to the quarterfinals.

Wales maintains its undefeated record in Pool C thanks to scores from Gareth Davies, Nick Tompkins, and Jac Morgan as well as field goals from Dan Biggar and Gareth Anscombe, who entered the game as an early replacement after Biggar exited with a shoulder injury.

American fly-half Despite Ben Donaldson’s two penalties for the Wallabies, Eddie Jones’ team simply had too much of a hill to climb to catch up to Wales.

Anscombe kept the scoreboard going with a masterful tee shot and a deft drop goal, Jac Morgan gave it his all on offense and defense, and Gareth Davies, the scrum-half, was outstanding with a try and some beautiful kicking from the ruck.

Against Australia, Mike Forshaw’s Welsh defense held strong, allowing no giveaways to the Wallabies. Wales put on an incredibly professional show, controlling the tempo of the game the entire time, and never seemed like they were going to lose the game.

As a result, Wales has now won three of its four pool games and qualified for the quarterfinals. Wales’ final group game will take place against Georgia on October 7.

Liam Williams, Louis Rees-Zammit, George North, Nick Tompkins, Josh Adams, Dan Biggar, Gareth Davies, Gareth Thomas, Ryan Elias, Tomas Francis, Will Rowlands, Adam Beard, Aaron Wainwright, Jac Morgan (captain), and Taulupe Faletau are among the fifteen players on the Wales roster.

With the arrival of Elliot Dee, Corey Domachowski, Henry Thomas, Dafydd Jenkins, Taine Basham, Tomos Williams, Gareth Anscombe, and Rio Dyer to the roster, the team has also made adjustments to the lineup.

In addition to Andrew Kellaway, Mark Nawaqanitawase, Jordan Petaia, Samu Kerevi, Marika Koroibete, Ben Donaldson, Tate McDermott, Angus Bell, David Porecki, James Slipper, Nick Frost, Richie Arnold, Rob Leota, Tom Hooper, and Rob Valetini, Australia has 15 players on its roster.
