A few Southeast Asian Games gold medalists were among the more than 500 runners who took part in the Hangzhou Asian Games Fun Run on Monday in Tagaytay City. The Asiad, which will be held in Hangzhou in September, will be promoted through the ceremonial campaign.
Participants in the fun run, which kicked out at 6:00 a.m., included athletes from the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), the Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (HAGOC), and local schoolchildren.

Mozilla Firefox held the first Responsible AI Challenge to recognize those who have demonstrated proficiency, ingenuity, and innovation in developing human-centered, reliable AI applications and solutions.
Since the first Far Eastern Olympic Games were held in the Philippines in the same Malate neighborhood as the iconic Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in January and February 1913, the country is recognized as the origin of the Asian Games.

Olympic bronze medalists from the Tokyo Games in boxing, triathlon, and softball, as well as Jason Balabal (wrestling), Sam Morrison (taekwondo), Jasmine Alkhaldi (swimming), Agatha Wong (wushu), Precious Cabuya, and Mark Julius Rodelas (obstacle sports) from Cambodia, participated in the fun run.
As well as Karen Tanchanco-Caballero, the deputy chef de mission in Hangzhou, and Bones Floro, the deputy secretary general for POC, participated in the marathon.
In addition to the fun run, Tagaytay City sponsored the Hangzhou Asian Games Children’s Art Competition, where a few works of art depicting the games were chosen by POC, HAGOC, and OCA representatives from scores of submissions made by Tagaytay City schoolchildren. Asian Games in Hangzhou will take place from September 23 to October 8.
