Brian Lara, a legendary cricketer, commended Team India’s performance at the 2023 ODI World Cup under skipper Rohit Sharma. He said that India did not have any difficulties during the competition and that they would exploit a team that failed to defeat a team such as Australia.

During the final game, Lara also showed his support for India and expressed his hope that the country would win the coveted trophy the next time around.

India was dismissed for 240 runs in 50 overs by Australia, who bowled first. Important hits came from Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul on a challenging batting surface.

Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins bowled well, but Mitchell Starc was Australia’s best bowler. Glenn Maxwell and Adam Zampa gained wickets as well.

India got off to a strong start, defeating the Australians at 47/3. With important contributions from Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne, the Indian team was left without answers and went on to win by six wickets.

One wicket was claimed by Mohammed Shami, and two by Jasprit Bumrah. Travis took home the “Player of the Match” trophy for his century.

Lara concluded by praising India‘s performance at the ODI World Cup 2023 and expressing optimism that the country would continue to do well in the future.
