To sprint on a track while it is on fire, a firefighter has broken world records. Jonathan Vero, a French firefighter known as “the human torch,” dons a protective outfit before being lit on fire.
The 39-year-old daredevil runs on an athletic track while setting himself on fire in a new video. He completes a 100-meter sprint in just 17 seconds.
Record-Breaking Sprint Without Oxygen
The amazing performance beat the earlier record by 7.58 seconds. In his hometown of Haubourdin, Jonathan also broke the world record for the “fastest full body burn run without oxygen.”
According to the Daily Star, Jonathan broke the previous record of 204.23 meters (670 feet) by running 272.25 meters (893 feet) while in flames and wearing protective gear. For three months, Jonathan worked on his breathing, explosiveness, and endurance to prepare for his world-record run.

As a firefighter, I have a lot of meaning attached to this performance, as does the experience of training and watching myself grow,” the performer said.
There are still many things I want to try and many records I want to break. It will take a while for these descriptors to become fully understood here, where I am called a paradox and even a cheater.”
According to him, he enjoyed “pushing the limits” and wanted to “push open the doors of the renowned Guinness World Records.” As a fire artist, he also wanted to demonstrate to himself that he can “always go further.”
A daring performer who broke every bone in his face when a performance went wrong was said to be back to doing what he loves earlier this week. At Exmouth’s Imperial Recreation Ground last year, Circus Funtasia featured Ivan Mladenov in a performance.
