With two current MPs removed from its list in advance of the 2024 elections, the Janata Dal (United) has released the names of candidates for each of the 16 Lok Sabha seats it plans to run for in Bihar.

Rajiv Ranjan Singh, the leader of JD(U), stated that choosing the candidates from among the NDA allies and the seat-sharing mechanism were not problematic.

2024 Lok Sabha Elections

With less than a month to go before the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress party unveiled its fourth list of 45 candidates, including Varanasi native and Uttar Pradesh party president Ajay Rai.

The speculation about Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s potential candidacies from the Amethi and Raebareli seats is still ongoing. While in ED custody, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal gave his first directive on managing the city administration.

Just one day after his wife, former union minister Ranee Narah, was turned down for a party ticket from her Lakhimpur Lok Sabha seat, Congress MLA Bharat Chandra Narah resigned from her position as chairman of the party’s Assamese media cell. Uday Shankar Hazarika was nominated for the position by the Congress.

The Maratha community has been urged by Manoj Jarange, an activist from Maharashtra, to select candidates to run as independents in the next Lok Sabha elections by March 30. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan came under fire from the BJP, which said he was making comments meant to sow discord among different communities.

Leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Saurabh Bharadwaj, declared that all INDIA alliance members will participate in a “maha rally” to protect democracy in the nation on March 31 at 10 a.m. at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan.
