Ex-US Vice President Calls on the Biden Administration

Former vice president of the United States Mike Pence has urged President Joe Biden and his team to halt all talks with Iran over its nuclear program.

After hearing that the US government has an “interim agreement” on the table, Pence criticized Biden for tolerating a “tyrannical regime” in Iran and demanded that the Biden administration halt work on the nuclear deal with Iran.

Pence urged the Biden administration and the leaders of countries that value freedom to stand with the Iranian people, defend freedom and justice, and immediately halt all nuclear talks with Tehran.

Pence agreed with Israel’s and Saudi Arabia’s concerns that the deal would provide Iran with resources that it would ultimately use to support terrorism against its competitors in the region.

  • US Secretary of State Blinken claims Iran’s demands slowed negotiations.

Pence referred to the nuclear agreement’s pursuit as “ill-founded and dangerous.” He emphasized that a nuclear agreement with Iran would “unravel” the progress made in putting despotic regimes like Iran on the outside looking in rather than bring about peace and stability.

The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), widely known as the Iran Nuclear Deal, is being renegotiated with Iran during the Biden administration.

In the past, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken claimed that because Iran had made “extraneous demands” that had nothing to do with the accord, negotiations between the two countries had taken a “backward” step.

The People’s Mujahideen Organisation of Iran (PMOI), a vocal opponent of the JCPOA, hosted Pence at its headquarters in Paris. This organization is known as the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).
