Egypt Anticipates a Moroccan Boycott to Take its Place

Although the Moroccan U17 squad hasn’t formally confirmed that it will not compete in the upcoming African Cup of Nations in Algeria, a member of the Egyptian Football Association has already expressed interest in taking Morocco’s position.

Ehab Elkomy, a member of the Egyptian Association of Football’s board of directors, told the press that the Egyptian national team is prepared to replace Morocco’s participation in the Nations Cup. soccer.

The Moroccan national team will once again have to travel to Algeria, which is hosting the competition this time around, and run the chance of hearing the same comment.

He is a member of group B and will compete against Nigeria, South Africa, and Zambia between April 29 and May 19 in the cities of Algiers, Constantine, and Annaba.

The Algerian Football Federation should be subject to severe penalties for all of these bizarre and reprehensible actions, and Algeria should be barred from hosting any competitions as a result of these unsportsmanlike actions.

In any case, the president of the FRMF, Fouzi Lekjaa, underlined that the Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is the official airline of Morocco’s national teams and protested the CAF’s decision for the CHAN, anticipating that the CAN U17 will experience the same blocking of Algeria.
