Intel

On December 31, Intel is scheduled to make several layoff announcements spread over two weeks. Through many efforts, such as business and function-specific staff reductions, the corporation hopes to expedite its plan and cut expenses.

Just over 10% of the company’s workforce, or 549 people, were terminated from its Folsom facility in the past. Intel wants to decrease expenses by $10 billion by 2025, maybe by selling off operations, reducing hours, and making layoffs.

Over 13,000 people are currently employed by the corporation throughout California, and research and development are conducted at its Folsom location. Up to 20% of Intel’s workforce may be let go from its data center and client computing units.
