PM Modi Promises Full Support for Wayanad Landslide Relief Efforts

In response to the catastrophic landslides in Wayanad, Kerala, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited the disaster-stricken region to evaluate the damage. The aerial survey covered the hardest-hit areas such as Chooralmala, Mundakkai, and Punchirimattom. Modi’s visit, accompanied by high-profile officials, included direct interactions with victims and local medical teams.

The scale of the disaster is considerable, with at least 226 lives lost and many more affected. The Kerala government has urgently sought Rs 2,000 crore from the central government to support extensive relief and rehabilitation efforts.
