The store, known for its extensive range of hunting and fishing equipment, struggled as state and federal restrictions on firearms and ammunition became more stringent.

End of an Era: M&M Sports Den Shuts Down After Decades of Serving Jamestown

Owner Bruce Piatz, who prioritized customer service and in-house repairs, expressed deep gratitude for the support from his loyal customers over the years. Despite the store’s closure, Piatz will remain in the firearms industry by joining Runnings, where he hopes to reconnect with former patrons. The store’s remaining inventory has been transferred to Peterson’s Auction for sale.

The store’s inventory and property have been sent to Peterson’s Auction, renowned for handling such closures efficiently. Piatz will continue his career in the firearms sector with Runnings, where he hopes to provide continued service to his loyal customer base.
