Security is a top priority this year, with Superintendent of Police Mohammad Shariful Haque announcing stringent measures. Law enforcement will be present at all mandaps to ensure the festivities proceed without issues. Meanwhile, artisans are applying the final touches to the idols in preparation for the grand celebration.
In addition to spiritual and cultural activities, logistical support for the festival has been robust. The district’s Relief and Rehabilitation Office allocated 53 tonnes of rice for distribution among the mandaps. Each mandap received 500 kg of rice to help organizers manage the large influx of visitors during the celebrations.
Authorities have also placed significant emphasis on public safety. The district’s police force is prepared with a comprehensive security plan, ensuring that all activities during Durga Puja are monitored and safeguarded. These measures are expected to foster a safe and peaceful atmosphere throughout the district during the four-day celebration.
Artisans, who have been hard at work, are now focused on perfecting the idols of Durga and other deities. Their craftsmanship will soon be on full display, bringing the festivities to life as worshippers gather to participate in prayers, rituals, and celebrations marking the victory of good over evil.
