With an eclectic program of 53 short films, 35 documentaries, and 83 feature films, the well-known independent film festival Sundance Film Festival 2024 is poised to commemorate its 40th year.
Among the notable premieres are My Old Ass, Sujo, Girls Will Be Girls, 10 Lives, Exhibiting Forgiveness, Ponyboi, Handling the Undead, and Love Lies Bleeding.

The festival’s third day kicked off with the world premieres of 10 Lives, Exhibiting Forgiveness, Sujo, My Old Ass, Handling the Undead, Girls Will Be Girls and Love Lies Bleeding. Day 2’s presentation of A Real Pain, directed by Jesse Eisenberg, followed the story of mismatched cousins David and Benji as they band together to honor their grandmother.
Featuring Kristen Stewart and Steven Yeun, co-directors Sam and Andrew Zuchero’s film Love Me explores the secrets of consciousness and existence.
June Squibb, who is nominated for an Oscar, played an unlikely action star in Josh Margolin’s opening-night feature Thelma. Additional actors who starred in the festival were Ji-young Yoo, Ryan Fleck, Anna Boden, Keir Gilchrist, Pedro Pascal, Jay Ellis, and Normani Kordei Hamilton.
The jury and audience prizes will be given out at The Ray Theatre on January 26, 2024, during the Sundance Film Festival, which will take place in Park City and Salt Lake City from January 18–28. Both seasoned moviegoers and those hoping to find new talent can attend the event.
