KEA Refused to Consider PUC Marks with CET Exams

However, the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) had not said it would overlook PUC marks while concluding an up-and-comer’s general position, it worked out that assessment for repeaters was founded exclusively on their CET scores.

As the Common Entrance Test (CET) 2022 outcomes declared on July 30 were damaged by a debate with repeaters fighting over the avoidance of their pre-college course (PUC) marks, the Karnataka Examination Authority on Monday deferred the confirmation cycle for designing affirmation from August 5.

Karnataka Engineering Students Protest

Fights by understudies and guardians requesting “equity for repeaters” expanded before the KEA office in Malleswaram on Monday.

The dissidents said the KEA had “guaranteed” that it would consider 50% of PUC imprints and 50 percent of the CET imprints to choose an up-and-comer’s general position. Nonetheless, it worked out that assessment for repeaters was founded exclusively on their CET marks.

  • Karnataka Engineering Student wants to consider their PUC marks with CET.
  • KEA released unfair marks for CET repeaters.
  • Engineering admission was stopped temporarily without announcing dates.

Rathna, the mother of Chetan Gowda, said her child scored 103 in CET this year and got a position of 66,623. Anyway, last year, he scored 77 in CET and got a position of 19,700.

“My child had gotten some information about considering the PUC marks for CET positioning and we got a positive reaction from the specialists. It was based on this reaction that he took the CET for the subsequent time, on the off chance that he doesn’t get it done in NEET. He wound up getting a low position regardless of getting a decent score in the CET because the PUC marks were not thought of,”

said Rathna, adding that her child was present in a tight spot where he would find a decent school for neither designing nor medication.
