South Africa‘s corporate events industry participated in the popular IBTM (Incentive, Corporate, Travel and Meetings) World, currently taking place in Barcelona, Spain.

Nzama highlighted that the SANCB has tabled 63 proposals for international business events to be held in South Africa between 2023 and 2029 since the start of the 2023/24 financial year. The bids, with a total economic impact of R1.2 billion, “reflect our commitment to attract significant business events aligned with the national government’s development priorities, in which tourism plays a stimulating role.”
