Approximately 15,000 people were rescued from flooded villages in Pakistan

From flooded areas in the Punjab province of Pakistan, almost 100,000 people have been evacuated.

A representative from emergency services reported on Wednesday that over 100,000 people had been evacuated from flooded areas in Pakistan’s Punjab province.

Farooq Ahmad, a spokesman for the Punjab emergency services, told AFP that 100,000 people had been saved and sent to safer locations.
