Yobe State is positioning itself for a thriving 2025 cropping season by rolling out agricultural incentives. The aim is to empower local farmers. Governor Buni stated that the government is providing access to modern tools and high-quality inputs to enhance productivity.

A major highlight of the initiative is the growing global demand for Yobe’s agricultural products. With Qatar and Morocco signaling interest in items like sesame seeds and livestock, the state is tapping into new export opportunities. This could boost its GDP.

The distribution of 30,000 bags of rice through the Dangote Foundation also signals a public-private partnership. As Yobe prepares for the 2025 season, the government’s proactive support and global interest signal a promising future for agriculture. It aims to make agriculture a cornerstone of state development.
