Tinubu Honoured with Lifetime African Achievement Award in Ghana

Bola Tinubu, the President of Nigeria, has been recognized with the Lifetime African Achievement Prize during the 25th anniversary of the Millennium Excellence Prize in Kumasi, Ghana.

The award ceremony also celebrated other distinguished African leaders. These included Benedict Oramah for his contribution to global intra-African trade, Umo Eno for governance and public service, and AbdulSamad Rabiu for business excellence.

African Leaders Honoured at Millennium Excellence Prize Event in Ghana

The 25th anniversary of the Millennium Excellence Prize in Kumasi, Ghana, witnessed a gathering of influential African leaders and achievers. They were recognized for their exceptional contributions to the continent. President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria received the prestigious Lifetime African Achievement Prize. Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu accepted the award on his behalf as the special guest of honour.

In his acceptance speech, Tinubu lauded the foundation for its commitment to celebrating excellence, integrity, and service across Africa. He urged the younger generation to rise and make impactful contributions in areas such as science, technology, governance, and entrepreneurship. He emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration.

Among other notable awardees, Benedict Oramah, the President of the African Export-Import Bank, was honoured for his efforts in promoting intra-African trade. Umo Eno was recognized for his work in governance and public service. Meanwhile, AbdulSamad Rabiu received the African Excellence in Business award for his leadership of the BUA Group.

The event highlighted the significance of fostering African development through strategic partnerships and leadership. It reinforced the foundation’s mission of inspiring excellence across the continent. As the Millennium Excellence Prize continues to spotlight African achievers, it remains a vital platform for recognizing those whose work elevates Africa’s global standing.

The Millennium Excellence Prize has once again emphasized the importance of honouring African leaders whose contributions inspire unity, growth, and excellence across the continent.
