Safety Alert: Humane AI Pin users should discontinue using charging cases

Humane AI Pin users have been urgently instructed to stop using the device’s charging case immediately. This follows the discovery of a potential fire hazard linked to the charging case’s battery.

The issue came to light when a user reported a charging problem while using a third-party USB C-type cable and power source. Subsequent investigation revealed that the battery supplier did not meet the company’s quality standards.

In response to the safety concern, Humane is offering affected users an additional two months of free subscription to their service. This gesture aims to compensate for the inconvenience caused by the urgent safety warning.

The Humane AI Pin, which aims to replace smartphones, was launched in April 2024 and is expected to enter the Indian market soon. Priced at approximately Rs. 58,000, the device’s features rely heavily on the subscription service provided by the company.
