The Russian Ministry of Emergencies has reported that twenty people have been rescued following an attack by the Ukrainians on a building in Lysychansk, which included a bakery in the district of Luhansk, which is occupied in eastern Ukraine.
In a video posted by the ministry, rescuers are seen removing two injured people from the debris and putting them on stretchers.
A bakery strike
The ministry had earlier declared that ten lives had been saved by its staff and that they had been turned over to doctors. The video was taken from an alternate daytime footage that the ministry provided, and it matches the address on Google Maps which is identified as the Adriatic Restaurant on Moskovska Street in Lysychansk.
Concerning the incident, Ukrainian officials have not issued a statement. The bakery was shelled by Ukraine using the US-supplied High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), according to the Russian-controlled Luhansk Information Centre.
It is estimated that the victims’ ages are “35 years, plus or minus five years.” The rubble clearance process is still in progress.
