COVID-19 will shortly surpass 4,000 cases in India

  • Despite the increase in the JN.1 sub-variant, there is no need for a second dose of the Covid-19 vaccination.
  • Goa reported 10 new instances of COVID-19 on Saturday.

JapanDespite the increase in cases and the identification of the JN.1 sub-variant, Dr. NK Arora, the head of the SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG), stated that there is no need for a second dose of the Covid-19 vaccination.

Goa reported 10 new instances of COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing the total number of cases under observation to 32. Out of 222 samples analyzed during the course of 24 hours on Saturday, 10 instances were found.

JN.1 Sub-variant

According to the Health Ministry of India, there are now 3,742 active cases of COVID-19, and this number is likely to rise to 4,000. Elderly people and those with co-morbidities were advised to wear facemasks and stay away from crowded areas by the Odisha Health and Family Welfare Department.

During the Christmas and New Year celebrations, the Mizoram government also asked people to observe Covid-appropriate customs. Asia According to Dr. NK Arora, the head of the SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG), the increase in cases and the identification of the JN.1 sub-variant mean that there is no need for a second dosage of the Covid-19 vaccine.

He did, however, encourage people 60 years of age or older to exercise caution because they may have comorbidities and be taking drugs that reduce immunity, such as cancer patients.
