Fast Assistance To Victims Of The Vizag Harbor Fire

Boat owners who lost everything in the Visakhapatnam fishing harbor fire have received a payment of Rs. 7.11 crore from Fisheries Minister Seedari Appala Raju.

Funds were allocated based on the size and extent of damage to the boats to lessen the financial burden on the impacted community. 384 workers connected to the impacted boats received Rs. 10,000 each as part of the relief effort, while the owners of 18 damaged boats received Rs. 66.96 lakh.

The announcement of compensation by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and the continuation of initiatives like diesel subsidies and holiday compensation highlights the YSRC government’s unwavering support for fishermen.

A budget of Rs. 150 crore was allocated by Minister Raju to modernize the Visakhapatnam Fishing Harbor. Requirements for environmentally friendly behavior include incentives and infrastructure upgrades.

A proactive response to the recent fire was shown by fisherman Pawan Kalyan, who gave 49 fishermen who lost their livelihoods checks for ₹50,000 each. The ₹50,000 does not even come close to covering the losses, but Kalyan stressed how critical it is to address the predicament of the fishermen.
