Japan will provide $10 million in humanitarian help

Japan will provide $10 million in emergency aid to civilians in the Gaza Strip, as per Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa. Japan, the current president of the Group of Seven developed nations, is monitoring the situation with concern and expects it to calm down.

Kamikawa is also preparing for talks with her Iranian counterpart, Israel, which has pledged to annihilate Iran-backed Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip, following the recent attack on Israeli towns.

Humanitarian help

Yoko Kamikawa, Japan’s foreign minister, announced on Tuesday that her country would give $10 million in emergency relief to Gazanos.

The Group of Seven developed countries is now led by Japan, which according to Kamikawa stated it is “with concern” watching the situation in Gaza and anticipates a speedy resolution of the conflict.

Kamikawa stated that she was also finishing up preparations for her next meeting with her Iranian counterpart. Following an attack on Israeli territory by Hamas militants, Israel has promised to destroy the militant organization that rules the Gaza Strip.

After the Hamas incursion, Israel has not stopped bombing Gaza, which is home to 2.3 million people, many of whom are children. Over 10,000 Palestinians have been injured and at least 2,837 have died as a result of the airstrikes.
