With a total of 272 for 8 in 50 overs, Afghanistan’s bowling display against India in their second World Cup encounter was remarkable. Afghanistan finished with a total of less than 300 after struggling to sustain momentum between the 35th and 45th overs, despite strong fifties from captain Hashmatullah Shahidi and batsman Azmatullah Omarzai.

India defeated Afghanistan thanks in large part to Jasprit Bumrah’s outstanding four-for and his best ODI World Cup stats of 4/39. Other contributors to the team’s victory included Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, and Hardik Pandya.
